Halloween

There was a trunk or treat at Joe's school and the winning trunk got $100!!!!! No we did not win, but I thought my spider was way cool. Joe even used the spider and the web for singing time in primary on sunday...minus the skeleton, we're not that apostate.
Travis has always been picky when it comes to costumes. This year, after listing a ton of ideas he came up with a monster truck. So this was my version of a monster truck costume. He even had a box in the bed of the truck for his candy. Tyler was way easy... a cowboy!

Joe was a fly.

I couldn't resist the Halloween suspenders and ties on sunday.

Cowboy Ty

Tyler's third birthday was today so here are some pictures.......

This picture explains Tyler these days. It doesn't matter what the weather or if it matches, he wears what he wants to wear.

I don't know how it started but we usually do a treasure hunt type thing. We give a picture clue and it leads him to all his presents. Tyler had to put on his presents as he went, but this is typical of what he wears anyway.

I tried to get a good front picture but honestly butt shots of cowboys are usually the best!

We got him a real lasso too. I'm pretty sure we'll regret it but he was so excited. Joe taught him how to do it.... I really don't even know if Joe can do it.

And then he tries himself....

walks a little closer to the target and tries again....

and he got it!
After he got all his cowboy clothes on he said, " Mom, I need a horse!"

the day has finally come!!!!

Travis started preschool today!!!! I know it's weird timing but he's going to a preschool at a public school and they were waiting on some funding to come in before they took more students. He was so excited to go, I didn't realize I was that boring to be with. I dropped him off and he walked right in like he owned the place and then waved me off. He is sooooooo social and has no problems talking to new people or being in new situations, he is 100% Joe's child! After we left Tyler wouldn't stop talking. I guess he realized that he had my full attention for the next 2 hours and he was going to use every minute of it. It will be good for Travis to be in school and really good for me and Tyler to have some one on one time. I forgot what it was like to have one child...I got more done and my headache was only half as bad as usual.
