Saturday

Words can not explain how grateful I am that Joe is home more often. When we were in Rexburg our leaders would always say to us that when we were "out in the real world" that our lives would be even busier. When I would put Travis to sleep by myself practically every night I would think...it only gets worse after school! Well I'm here to say that it has never been better. Joe is home every night and eats dinner with us too!! We have week ends together and we are actually planning our first "real vacation."

These past few days the weather has been really nice (sorry to everyone in the snow). It's been above 50 degrees and sunny!!! We went to a park/lake near by and ate lunch and played. Travis was in heaven! He was throwing sand, pebbles, branches, whatever he could find into the lake and then he would run over to the play ground and climb and jump. He was finally able to get all that energy out of him. When we got in the car to leave he didn't even last one minute before he fell asleep.

I am so jealous of the weather over there! Those are such cute pictures, especially the first one. So fun! Yes, I have converted to digi scrapbooking! I've only done two pages so far, so I'm completely new at it, but it's so much more practical and realistic for me to get the time to do. Have you done much of it yet? I would love to make a road trip and have a mini scrapbooking conference at your place. :) I definitely need lessons from somebody!

It's so true! I don't know why they always say, "In the real world it's harder." I think that's a bunch of bull. Ever since Preston and I have been both graduated it just gets better. I'm so glad that you are enjoying your "real world" experience. I'm really happy for you all.

Cute picture. And I agree. I love Ben's schedule for grad school. He is home every night by 5. And once he helps put the kids to bed we either hang out, or he studies...and I use that time to read. A regular job sure does beat no income, bad work hours and a lousy job, and having to do everything yourself.

Hey Mary,

I have just joined the blogging world and found yours through Kathryn. It is so neat for me to get to see pictures of "home." How do you like Port Orchard? I have always thought it was a pretty cool spot. Have you met the Degarimore's yet? They are in your stake.(Kyle's sister and brother in law) I am so happy to hear that life is better after graduation. I am sure that it comes with it's own set of problems just like everything else, but I think I'll be so glad for it. One more semester here, then student teaching, then we'll practically be neighbors! I love your pictures and your music track (little wonders is my favorite song since meet the robinsons) Enough rambling. Take care!

Hey Mary and Joe, it's great to find your blog. We are loving Washington too, at least I am because this is my home. Matt is still missing Alaska. Our weather on this side of the state as not been as nice as that side but the snow is finally melting and the sun is starting to shine. I am ready for Spring and Summer.
